Embracing AI with Heart: Reflections from the AI-Powered Women’s Conference

This past weekend, we stepped into a space that felt radically different from the typical tech event. Instead of speed and performance, we found slowness, softness, and soul. Sound healers, poets, yoga instructors, and technologists gathered in a shared commitment to build something new, something more human.

For us at Confidante, it finally felt like we belonged. We saw our values reflected in the conversations, the events, and the way people showed up, it was beautiful. Women were not just included; we were centered. Emotional intelligence, values, and lived experience were treated not as edge cases, but as essential design principles.

We'll be sharing a deeper dive into our learnings in this Notion doc, but we wanted to offer a brief reflection on our experience, because it moved us so deeply.

Where Tech Meets Motherhood: Insights That Hit Home:

So many of the conference’s most powerful themes spoke directly to mothers and to the mission behind Confidante.

1. Emotional Intelligence & Women’s Wisdom

Emotions are signals, not flaws.

Burnout, grief, rage, intuition, they are all messengers. Instead of pathologizing emotions, we must learn to listen. Frameworks like Internal Family Systems (IFS) offer mothers a way to extend radical compassion to all parts of themselves.

“Women normalize exhaustion as the price of success.” "There are no bad parts.” “The denial of self-care is the denial of self.”

For mothers navigating identity shifts, decision overload, and invisible labor, these words cut through the noise. Confidante was built to honor this truth: you don’t need to be fixed — you deserve to be heard.

2. Motherhood, Moral Injury, and Decision Fatigue

Many moms today feel caught between what the world expects of them and what they deeply value. That tension, between caregiving and capitalism, presence and productivity, can cause what the speakers called moral injury.

Mothers are constantly asked to choose between their values and their survival. Confidante’s coaching tools, reflective prompts, and AI support aim to hold space for exactly this kind of reckoning.

“We are meaning-making beings. AI can be a mirror or an amplifier, but we must choose to center meaning, not productivity.” We left the conference reflecting on these questions and invite you to do the same:
