We’re Not Just Building a Company, We’re Building a Blueprint for a New Kind of Leadership
You can dream big without burning down the life you love
Every week we spend building Confidante, our passion grows deeper.
Every mom we talk to, every story we hear, every conversation we have, it all strengthens our belief that this work isn’t just needed. It’s urgent and it’s sacred.
AI is evolving at lightning speed. But key voices, especially the voices of mothers, are still being left out.
Confidante exists because we refuse to let that happen. We are building a different kind of future, one where motherhood isn’t treated as an afterthought, but as a source of wisdom, leadership, and power.
And personally, as I sit here pregnant with my second child, that truth feels even more visceral.
Confidante is becoming woven into how we are living, mothering, and remembering.
Yesterday, we were at my in-laws’ house. I put my daughter down for her nap in her little pack-and-play. Normally, she rolls over and drifts off to sleep. But this time, something magical happened.
She gathered her stuffed animals around her and recreated her entire school day: snack time, story time, singing songs, and then lovingly rubbing their backs to sleep and whispering, “Shhh, it’s okay. Take a little rest and you’ll be able to play.”
I lay there in the guest room, quietly watching her for over an hour. It was one of those heart-expanding, time-slowing moments I never want to lose.
And as I watched, I thought:
Sure, I could journal about this (and I will). But what I really wish for is a sacred space where these memories could live, not as static words, but as a living part of me.
A space like Confidante.
A place where moments like this could be captured, cherished, and even returned to when I need to feel them again.
That’s part of the vision we are building toward: A place where moms aren’t just surviving the days, they’re honoring them. Holding onto the magic. Celebrating the invisible, powerful, often-overlooked moments that shape a life.
Building Confidante is deeply personal for both of us.
It’s not just about creating a product, it’s about creating what we want and need as mothers, as women, as leaders. And it’s about rewriting the narrative of what it means to build something.
Because here’s the truth: I’m pregnant, and I’m building a startup.
Traditionally, those two things aren’t seen as compatible.
The story we’ve been sold is this: Two guys in a garage, living off ramen and Red Bull, sacrificing everything at the altar of the hustle.
That’s the mythology.
But that’s not our story. We’re not here to live someone else’s mythology. We’re here to build something that flips the whole script. A company that centers moms. A company that proves you can nurture your family and your dreams at the same time, and that both can grow, beautifully.
We want to be fully present with our families. We want to savor the small, sacred seasons of life.
And yes, we also want to build a world-changing product. That duality, that full-hearted commitment to both, isn’t a weakness. It’s our greatest strength.
It’s the heart of Confidante.
Our energy, our integrity, our values, they are our strategy.
And when you build from that place, you create something that’s not just innovative, but sustainable, nourishing, and deeply human. We know we’re not your typical tech founders. And we’re proud of that.
We’re building from our kitchen tables, during nap times, after bedtime stories, in between the sacred moments that matter. We’re squeezing our dreams into the margins of our days, not because we’re less committed, but because we’re more committed to building differently.
We believe the future doesn’t have to come at the cost of the present. That you can build with ambition and alignment. That you can dream big without burning down the life you love.
We’re not just building a company. We’re building a blueprint. A new model for leadership.A new way of working, living, and mothering, one that makes space for the whole person, not just the productive parts.
And we hope you’ll be part of it. Because this isn’t just our story. It’s a story we’re writing together, for all of us who believe there’s a better way forward.
